Project consists of the rebuild of approximately 44 miles of 230kV transmission line in South West Colorado. The line is primarily constructed using wood tangent H-Frames, with steel pole dead ends, and 1272 Bittern conductor.
This project presents multiple challenges including BLM and US Forest service access restrictions, big game winter habitat areas, along with rough terrain on and off the ROW. Brink’s scope includes the installation of conductor over the Delores River Crossing, (6,500’ span), along with the removal of the existing Delores River Crossing installed in the 1950’s.
