Scholarship Guidelines
About the Scholarship:
2021 marks Brink Constructors, Inc. 75th anniversary as the industry leader in Powerline and Substation construction. To honor our legacy and foster in the next generation of professional line workers, Brink Constructors has created the Frank Brink Memorial Scholarship. The purpose of this Scholarship is to provide an opportunity for 2 Highschool graduates in the Quanta Central Region interested in a career in the power delivery industry to complete the Electrical Lineworker Program at Northwest Lineman College. The Central Region includes: Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
Applicant Eligibility:
• Submit a completed application packet.
• Be accepted into the Northwest Lineman College Electrical Lineworker Program.
Amount and Use:
• There are two scholarships available per year that covers full tuition, application fees, lab fees, CDL costs, NCCCO Crane Certification, and tools associated with the Electrical Lineworker Program. The student is responsible for all other expenses associated with the program such as housing and living expenses.
• Two students from a Highschool will be selected.
• Scholarship funds must be applied to a NLC ELP term that begins in the same calendar year in which the student graduates high school. Scholarship funds may not be deferred beyond this time frame.
• Scholarship funds will not be issued directly to the student but will be applied toward the student’s tuition and tool balance owed.
• Upon graduation, from NLC ELP, students must commit to no less than two years of employment with Brink Constructors, Inc.
• Students who do not fulfill the terms of the scholarship will be responsible for reimbursing Brink Constructors, Inc. the full amount of the scholarship funds.
Selection Criteria:
• Cumulative GPA (2.0 or above preferred).
• One- to two-page letter (typed, 12-point font) by student stating why he/she would like to pursue a career in linework, how this scholarship will help, and how he/she plans to pay for living expenses and additional costs while at NLC.
• Two reference letters from a school counselor, principal, teacher or coach.
Scholarship Selection Committee:
• Selection of candidate will be managed through Brink Constructors, Inc. Apprenticeship Committee.
Application Packet Components:
• Completed application form.
• One- to two-page letter (typed, 12-point font) by student stating why he/she would like to pursue a career in linework, how this scholarship will help, and how he/she plans to pay for living expenses and additional costs while at NLC.
• Two reference letters from a school counselor, principal, teacher or coach.
• Official high school transcript.
• Proof of acceptance into the NLC Electrical Lineworker Program for the calendar year in which the student will graduate high school.

• April 29, 2025 deadline.
